South Luberon in one day: itinerary

A day between Lourmarin, Cucuron, Ansouis and La Tour-d’Aigues, with a realistic route, practical advice and time to pause.

One day, no more than four villages

The most logical route follows a simple loop: Lourmarin → Cucuron → Ansouis → La Tour-d’Aigues. In summer, start early and be willing to skip one stop so you can truly enjoy the day.

8:30 am

Lourmarin in the morning

Coffee, lanes and château. On Fridays, the market deserves a large part of the morning on its own.
11:00 am

Cucuron and its pond

Walk to the village pond, admire the façades and choose a terrace without adding unnecessary driving.
2:30 pm

Ansouis

Explore the sloping lanes, views and quieter character of this hilltop village.
5:00 pm

La Tour-d’Aigues

Finish opposite the château. Depending on the season, continue with a tasting or an evening in the South Luberon.
